Whatever it is you hope to bring to therapy, I will remain completely non-judgemental, I will take it incredibly seriously and I will be able to advise what sort of therapy might be useful for you, even if this means referring you to one of the many other excellent therapists in my network.

I am proud to have worked as a CBT therapist and Senior Psychological Therapist in the NHS. I am also proud that my training and experience gives me the confidence to help with all of the following difficulties: 

 

Anxiety related difficulties: 

  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder 

  • OCD and all OCD subtypes

  • Health Anxiety 

  • Social Anxiety

  • Body Dysmorphic Disorder

  • Stress 

  • Phobias

  • Performance related anxiety

  • Other specific fears or worries

Depression and low mood related difficulties: 

  • Persistent and unshakable period of depression

  • Cycles of depressed mood that come and go without reason 

  • Unprocessed loss or feeling stuck after an unexpected life change or loss

  • Bereavement or grief

  • Loss of motivation and enjoyment 

  • Feeling like you are always putting on a show

  • Sleep issues

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and trauma related difficulties: 

  • PTSD relating to one or multiple traumas 

  • Flashbacks and nightmares 

  • Overactive nervous system or always feeling on edge, unsafe or irritated

  • Related phobias or avoided situations, topic or people 

  • Unprocessed emotions related to the trauma, such as guilt, shame, disgust, anger or fear

  • Trauma in the body, such as through pain or other anxiety symptoms 

  • Dissociative symptoms, such as not feeling real, or completely losing the ability to concentrate

Difficulties related to individual factors, beliefs and longstanding traits:

  • Low self esteem

  • Low confidence 

  • Struggles with showing or communicating emotions

  • Emotions which feel out of control or unstable

  • Not feeling emotions

  • Poor self acceptance or self compassion

  • Feeling unlovable, not good enough or constantly guilty

  • Perfectionism

  • Excessive people pleasing 

  • Excessive need for order, cleanliness or control 

What if I have no idea what is wrong with me?

It can be really normal to be unclear about what you are experiencing and why. I would recommend booking yourself in for a full assessment and we can use various methods to get to grips with whatever it might be that is happening for you.

 

I can help you decide what type of support might be best for you going forward, or at the very least will provide you with evidence based recommendations.
