Hello and Welcome!

My name is Jack and I provide therapy, supervision and training, which is informed by a wide range of approaches, to hopefully meet you wherever you currently find yourself in life

I live in Manchester with my partner and two cats, where I enjoy the local music scene, often get out to the countryside, and, even though I have dodgy knees, pretend I can still play sports

I know from personal experience that looking for a therapist can be extremely overwhelming and I hope this site gives you a brief account of my values and what I offer as a therapist

Take your time exploring, and please feel free to get in touch with any enquiries. I am always happy to discuss

Testimonials

Emily

"My therapy with Jack was truly life changing. Jack was the fourth therapist I’d used and I had decided if it didn’t work I was done with therapy forever. From the first call we had, I immediately felt at ease, safe and understood- impressive for an initial 20 minute scoping call. The last 8 months of therapy have been transformative, I was struggling with intense grief following the loss of my Dad and had an annoying self critic. Jack helped me to recognise that I avoided my emotions and self regulated to keep my life a steady line of pleasantness. He also recognised that I felt things incredibly deeply which ultimately meant my emotions were not processed in a healthy way and led to them being overwhelming and bursting at the seams. Through therapy Jack helped me to understand how to process my grief and to reframe my thoughts about my Dad so I could focus on the happy memories rather than the painful months leading to his death. We also worked together to come up with coping strategies for painful and triggering events - father of the bride speeches, birthdays and Christmas. This was also alongside developing lifestyle changes that helped to give me a boost during the grieving period. Most importantly he has taught me to feel my emotions!

Outside of the outcomes that Jack helped me achieve, he is an incredibly skilled therapist. I found it very easy to open up with him and to be vulnerable and felt respected, listened to and understood. We even managed to have quite a lot of light hearted moments which is very impressive given the subject matter!"

Does online therapy work as well as in person?

Therapy delivered by video call can be just as effective as in-person sessions. In fact, many people find it more convenient and comfortable.

I have a great deal of experience providing therapy via video over the past 12 years. You can rest assured that you will receive the same quality of care in the comfort of your own space, as you would attending in person.
